Chelates

The iron chelate is a compound consisting of an metallic ion (Fe+3) and a complexing molecule. The chelate itself makes the ionic properties to disappear, it remains in solution but it does not react with most reagents that are normally used to identify it. The chelated metal presents a remarkable stability.

ICYSA chelates are organic molecules that wraps and and are attached to iron ions to protect it and prevent its precipitation in the soil, keeping it in solution and making it available to the plant for its assimilation by the plant, especially in calcareous soils with a high pH level where the iron in the soil is insolubilized.

ICY Fe-EDDHA 4,2 o-o

6% Fe chelated by EDDHA w/w

6% Water soluble Fe

4,2% Ortho-ortho isomer

41% Pure chelating agent EDTA

100% Chelating degree

This iron chelate, presented in the form of micro-granules, is very soluble and highly recommended for drip irrigation. It is characterized for having a chemical structure that avoids the cation's insolubilisation in the soil.
